ReaWild - demo projects
===============================

Three small REAPER projects with five real bird calls (Axel Drioli's
recordings, Trieste-Samatorza, Italy, April 2026). Open one with
File > Open project, then run ReaWild from the Actions list.
Each project's notes (File > Project settings > Notes) explain it.

1 - 24-hour timeline (recommended)
How the tool is meant to be used: one region per day named with its
date (20260410), each exactly 24 hours long, recordings at their real
time of day. Dates and times of every call come from the timeline.

2 - dates typed in
The simple way: recordings one after another, dates typed into the
    tool's window instead.
If your recorders' clocks were set right, there is a third choice in
the Dates section, "From the recordings": each file is dated from the
start time written into it (or a date and time in its filename).

3 - spot the mistakes
Set up wrong on purpose (the most common reasons for "0 species").
See how the tool points them out, then fix them.

Common problems, in order of how often they happen
---------------------------------------------------
- Coordinates with a lost minus sign: south of the equator and west of
Greenwich are negative. Check the dot on the map next to them.
- Old results reused: BirdNET skips files it has already analysed. After
changing the coordinates or dates, press "Analyse all again".
- No date: BirdNET then can't use the season. Use day regions or type the
  dates.
- The bird isn't one BirdNET knows: "Show them" next to the coordinates
lists the local birds it can never name.
- Import threshold too high for faint or distant calls: lower it and press
"Import existing results" - no need to analyse again.

These recordings may be used to try the tool. Please don't redistribute them.
